Sae Takada
MD/PhD student
As of 2024, Sae Takada is a doctor of Internal Medicine at UCLA. She was an MD-PhD student in Health Policy (Medical Sociology track) at Yale. Her love of math and her interest in social relationships as resources for vulnerable populations lead her to study social networks of developing settings. Her research interest is the relationship between health beliefs and the social context, and her current projects examine social network effects of HIV stigma in Uganda and polio immunization adherence in India. She has a Master’s degree from the University of Tokyo in Global Health Policy.
