Marios V. Papamichalis
Postdoctoral Researcher
Marios V Papamichalis completed his PhD in January 2019 (UCL & Purdue University), under the supervision of Professor Patrick Wolfe and Professor Simon Lunagomez.
Marios research interests center around networks and causality. At Yale, under the supervision or Prof. Christakis and Prof. Airoldi (Temple University), he is pursuing two lines of research, closely related: (1) He has been developing and applying causal inference on large scale networks, where the treatments and outcomes of individual units of analysis interact or interfere in the parlance of causal inference, according to the network; (2) He has been innovating in the area of probabilistic inference tools for applications in social networks.
Marios has demonstrated his capacity to work with numbers and complex models starting from his distinction in several Mathematical Olympiads. He holds First Class Master's degrees from UCL (MSc in Machine Learning and MPhil in Statistics) and a MEng in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from NTUA.
