Kimberly Credle
Wet Lab Technician
Kimberly Credle is a healthcare genetics professional and biomedical researcher whose interests span genetics, human biology, health, behavior, and equity across diverse populations. She earned her B.S. in Biology with a minor in Chemistry from Johnson & Wales University (2023) and her M.S. in Health Care Genetics from the University of Connecticut (2026). Kimberly joined Yale University in May 2023 and the Human Nature Lab in September 2025. Her early research interests in genetics and neurodevelopmental disorders led to her publication, The Genetic Role of Autism, and she later contributed to research on cognitive decline and Alzheimer’s disease through participant recruitment, plasma collection, neuroimaging, and administration of bilingual neurocognitive assessments in English and Spanish. She also assisted in developing research protocols designed to expand research capacity and engagement within Native Spanish-speaking communities. Her graduate research examined Barriers to Achieving Genomic Equity in Clinical Care, including the underrepresentation of diverse populations in genomic research, disparities in access to genetic services, gaps in genomics education, and social and structural factors influencing engagement with genomic medicine.
At the Human Nature Lab, Kimberly contributes to interdisciplinary research using wet-laboratory methods and GC/MS analysis, as well as international research in Honduras examining relationships among olfaction, the microbiome, genetics, and human social behavior. She is particularly interested in connecting molecular and genomic research with human behavior and population health, while advancing scientific discovery that is inclusive, representative, and accessible to diverse communities.
