Jieyu Chen
Postdoctoral Associate
Jieyu Chen is a Postdoctoral Associate at the Human Nature Lab. Previously, she earned her PhD from Tsinghua University, where she developed a crowdsourced virtual reality (CVR) experimental platform for fire safety research and focused on individual behavior and social decision-making within pedestrian and evacuation dynamics in built environments.
Her current work transitions to applying the CVR method to the study of human-AI hybrids. By utilizing this immersive paradigm, she focuses on the dynamic control and optimization of human-AI hybrid crowds to enhance pedestrian flow and prevent stampedes in complex environments.
