Eftychia Makri

Eftychia Makri is a PhD student in Electrical Engineering at Yale University, advised by Prof. Leandros Tassiulas, and a member of the Human Nature Lab. She holds an integrated master's degree from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and previously spent two years at the Yale Institute for Network Science as a Research Engineer. Her research focuses on extending large language models and foundation models to integrate heterogeneous, multimodal data across domains. Under the guidance of Prof. Christakis, she investigates how large language models encode and reason about sensory and social phenomena, with current work focusing on chemosensory and olfactory perception.
